Father's Day

Plan on spending Father's Day with the best Dad in the world! I know my daughters would agree with me now they are all grown up. My husband Bob. He has always been supportive and present in their lives from day one. Never having much of a father figure in his own life, he has been the best.

I have been working on my jewels and getting ready for some shows this summer. Making my lampwork beads to incorporate into jewelry. I am having fun. Wish I had more time to work on my stuff. Have a happy Sunday.

Soulful Eyes

I know you all are wondering who that soulful mug shot belongs to on my sidebar.  That happens to be Oliver.  He is a 5 month old Lab/Retriever mix puppy who things he is a tea cup poodle.  No kidding, he comes running at you and you want to run, because he is so full of love and he thinks you should have it all.  As we speak, he is attending puppy school with my husband.  I am already telling him to sign up for the next class!   HA HA.

I have 3 other dogs Murphy, Leo and Shelby.   My kids say I treat them better than I did them when they were at home.  NOT.  I like to relate my dogs to singers and their personalities, so here is what I have equated them to, Murphy is a Shitzhu and reminds me of Meatloaf; Leo a Shitzhu and reminds me of Rod Stewart.  His hair is blonde and kind of funky.  Shelby, well she reminds me of Britney Spears.  She keeps the boys in line and likes to sing and dance!

My daughter brought her pug Boscoe over for us to watch over the weekend so we had 5 dogs in our house.  We took them for a walk.  I had 2 and Bob had 3.  I told him if anyone asks, we are professional dog walkers!   What a trip.  We love them all and have fun that is all that matters.

Weekend Fun

Great weather in the low 80s.  Saturday Bob and I took a bike ride around the Hurshtown Reservoir.  It is 2.5 miles around this lake and now one is around, just the fish, ducks, birds, bugs and nature.   It is so peaceful.  My kind of church.      Working on about 3 bracelets and a pair of earrings now. Meanwhile, I made a set of beads today for the 4th bracelet.   I swear I have ADHD (is that right?)  Can't focus on one thing any more as I get older!!!!    I guess to many things are stored in my head.  Oh well I have fun.  Have a good Memorial Day.

Vintage Spoon Bracelet

Happy Monday,  Found some vintage silverware at flea market and thought I could do something with them.  I added some of my metal work.  Had fun drilling, pounding, riveting and sawing on the metal shapes.  Sure take alot of frustrations out!  HA.  Thanks

Happy Sunday

Busy weekend!  Good busy though filled with family and friends.  My brothers birthday were 5/11 & 5/13 so we celebrated together on Saturday.  Visited with my busy daughters, something not easily done anymore since they have busy lives of their own!  Not much time to create my lampwork beads and make into jewelry.    I have been making bracelets out of vintage silverware.  Too neat!   Will post pictures as I get them done.  Have a good Sunday!

ETSY!

Look for me on ETSY soon.  I will keep everyone updated on when I have posted my jewelry.

Happy Mothers Day

Day late posting I know.  Had a nice day with Bob, as always.   First Mothers Day without my girls since they were born.  They are making lives for themselves now and going out into the world and spreading their wings on their own.   They are remarkable young women, whom I am very proud of, and I must say they are my best friends.  Not many mothers can say that.  I also went to see my Mom, Georgie in the nursing home.  She has Alzhiemers and doesn't know me anymore for the most part, but there is still a light on sometimes.  We had a good visit.
